About Us

After three years of working for an asset recovery agency, we quickly realized the need for an outreach program to help meet the needs of homeowners who have lost their home to foreclosure.

No one plans to lose their home and often times homeowners become fearful of losing the only place they feel safe. Those at risk of losing their home often stop checking the mail or answering the phone. In addition, they begin to self isolate and battle feelings of anxiety, depression or mental illness. Money becomes scarce, and the reality of what’s happening becomes overwhelming. Most shut down entirely.

These are some of our most vulnerable community members. Unfortunately, there is no agency assigned to helping individuals whose homes have been lost to foreclosure. All they know is that one day a sheriff shows up at the door and demands they vacate their home immediately. Many are left homeless and ashamed.

Hope Recovery Outreach was born out of a need to help individuals and families in this vulnerable place. We are the only agency that meets the immediate needs of individuals who have lost their homes through the foreclosure process. We are able to help with housing, storage, and even spending money during this difficult transitional phase.

To help facilitate this outreach, we’ve partnered with local investors and business owners to help homeowners build a new chapter and start anew.

Bobby Pappin

Bobby Pappin

Hi, I’m Bobby. After seven years in real estate and a decade before that in finance, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly life can unravel when a foreclosure or eviction hits. Today I own and operate multiple businesses and a growing nonprofit dedicated to giving families a real fresh start — practical help, new opportunities, and a clear path forward after the bank or county says “time’s up.”

I’m a University of Utah graduate (B.S. in Business Management, minor in Entrepreneurship) and a former college baseball player at Western Nevada College until injury ended that chapter. Now the best part of my days is coming home to my incredible wife and our two kids (7 and 4) and waking up knowing we’re building something that keeps families from falling through the cracks.

My driving passion is simple: find better, sometimes unconventional solutions and make sure no one faces eviction or foreclosure alone. We’ve got a big vision — taking this model nationwide — because every family deserves a second chance.

Hello, I’m Dorothy Garrity. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, I served as a Humanities teacher for 30 years. I worked with students of every age and background—from Boston’s inner-city classrooms to college lecture halls.

Ten years ago, I began working directly with men and women experiencing homelessness across Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I poured my expertise into hands-on service and advocacy for society’s most vulnerable. I helped shelter residents secure employment and heal from addiction and trauma.

In addition, I became a Board Certified Educational Advocate and provided training for parents at the Federation for Children with Special Needs where I fought for the educational rights of children in foster care. Hundreds of hours of specialized coursework have given me mastery of state and federal laws that protect basic human rights, knowledge I now use daily to open doors that once seemed permanently closed to people in crisis.

We at Hope Recovery Outreach meet people exactly where they are and walk with them toward stability, health, and hope.
